SOMA Kindness provides community connections and volunteer support for new and ongoing initiatives in South Orange, Maplewood (SOMA) NJ and surrounding areas.

Our goal is to encourage volunteering and friendly support by providing a free platform to promote and receive opportunities in SOMA and surrounding areas.

SOMA Kindness began as a grassroots pilot project from the team at Marigold LifeWorks, who wanted to see if their experience connecting neighbors to paid helpers could inform a new neighbor-to-neighbor volunteer initiative.

This project is inspired by and dedicated to the neighbors who have taught us the value of asking for and giving help.
