LifeTown in Livingston provides safe and controlled, real-world environments where neurodiverse children and teens can practice core skills, run daily errands and discover real-life work opportunities as part of their educational curriculum. Volunteers act as a “shopkeeper” in the 15 stores in the LifeTown Shoppes, helping with projects, ringing up a purchase and accepting payment, explaining dentist’s and doctor’s offices, and more! Volunteers must be 16 or older, learn more here: https://www.lifetown.com/adult-volunteer

The Montclair Township Animal Shelter is looking for volunteer front desk help! They’re seeking kind, welcoming folks who love animals and can help greet visitors, answer phones, direct people, and assist with light office tasks and the food pantry. Sign up for one 3-hour shift per week: Mon, Tues, Fri, or Sun from 1-4 PM. Retirees and seniors are especially encouraged to get involved. No experience needed – just kindness, reliability, and a love for furry faces. Please email emorgan@montclairnjusa.org for more information.
Cougar Cares presents weekly dinner deliveries! This is an amazing project that’s one of the best kept secrets in the area. Why? Because the recipients are SOMSD families served confidentially, and the business supporting the families prefers to do so privately. Volunteers pick up dinners in Maplewood village Tuesdays at 3:30 and deliver to SOMA homes. Deliveries are typically complete within the hour, but your car may smell delicious for longer. Because this includes SOMDS students, no one under 18 may participate (even as a passenger). https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0C44A8A928A3FBC70-tuesday#/
